Today is National Voter Registration Day!
As CLCV’s Campaigns & Organizing Manager, I know first-hand how critical voting is to our movement for bold climate action. Being from the Inland Empire, I’ve seen how electing environmental justice champions can result in real solutions for people in my community and many neighborhoods across California.
Our vote has the ability to change what’s possible.
With less than 6 months until the March 3rd California Primary, take the time today to make sure nothing gets in the way of your vote on election day. We’re inspired by the millions who took action last week at the Climate Strike and know we have the momentum to build power in the fight against the climate crisis. Your vote in 2020 will be critical to our movement, to transforming our political system, and to our future.
CLCV is a proud partner and supporter of National Voter Registration Day — the nationwide day dedicated to registering millions of people. And that’s why I am asking that you update your voter registration and register to vote absentee, if you haven’t already.

We need to do everything we can to ensure all voices are heard and represented in our democracy. Big Oil’s influence in elections and systemic voter suppression – especially efforts that exclude people of color and young people from the democratic process- have undermined the political power of us, the people.
